Frogger Golf - Better than a Sham Wow, No Nasty Stripper Beat Down Required...
Recently, I've seen several ads from a company called Frogger Golf - makers of the the Amphibian Towel and BrushPro that I thought were pretty cool. When I started checking this out a little closer, I saw that these guys have won the "Best New Product" at the PGA merch show for the last TWO YEARS RUNNING. That's right - the "Brush Pro" won in 2008, and the Amphibian Towel won in 2009.

Best of PGA Show 09 Accessories : Amphibian Towel
Evidently we golfers are suckers for just about anything that involves golf. I always find this a fun category, because the number of insane products that are brought out every year and never to be heard from again is truly amazing. At past shows this was accomplished with scantily clad, attractive women handing out some literature or samples, although this years economy cut down on the "extravagances". Yet there are always some products that actually serve a purpose and come in very handy on the golf course. Most of the time, it is such a simple idea I find myself wondering why nobody had thought of it already. This year is no exception as my "Best of PGA Show 09 Accessories" goes to the Amphibian Towel by Frogger.

The creators of the Frogger Brush Pro have done it again. They have managed to find a way to improve a simple golf tool. With the Brush Pro they were able to take a simple golf brush design and turn it into something easier to use, friendlier for the environment and extremely effective. I’ve carried several different portable ball cleaning products. I’m not big on carrying a full sized golf towel to the green. I like the convenience of having a pocket towel. to get that super spin that Phil Mickelson gets on his
wedges? Want to be able to stop a 6-iron on the green like
Tiger Woods, rather than having the ball release and go
off the back? If you do, you’d better be sure your
grooves are clean. I’ve
gone through no less than 10 wimpy groove brushes. Some
of those brushes have weak mounts and break off my bag,
never to be found. On some the metal brushes bend, making
the brush a disposable item since they’re not replaceable.
